In this programme of research, led by Dr Nathan Smith (Psyched4Sport), we have been exploring psychological growth following stressful life experiences. Answering questions such as:
- To what extent do expeditions lead to positive psychological outcomes?
- What is the relationship between a person’s personality characteristics and their experience of post-expedition growth?
- To what extent do lessons learnt during an expedition transfer when returning to everyday life?
